Baru Guun or more often referred to as "Gambeson 100" was a human raised by adoptive Sangheili parents and volunteer member of the ONI SEALS, having long-time experiences with boarding enemy Banished armada and crushing human pirate organizations. Years after the sacrifice of John-117 or the Master Chief, Baru sought to follow in his footsteps and become a Spartan. When was first fielded into combat as a spartan, he was joined in by the Paraspartans, the new PARASPARTAN-I program was developed to accommodate certified alien Otherwho Recruitment Program (OWRP) participants 7 months after the humans' SPARTAN-V program was formed. Many OWRP participants across the galaxy were also assigned into the Marine Corps among other of UNSC's ranks as Humanity's act of desperation against the Banished in the HSA-Banished War. His silhouette was used as a symbol of canine fireteams as he endorsed United Nations Space Command Army/Marine/Spartan Attack Dog units with newly made military-grade harnesses for front line combat that feature automated gun stands on their backs that shoot the respectively attached weapon at will since they don’t have actual humanoid hands, they are reliable and useful for SPARTAN-Vs and Paraspartans as a distraction unit and to conserve lives of any UNSC personnel.

A crowd of three famously powerful super-soldiers of the galaxy, Spartans (taken over by the SPARTAN-V generation) along with the OWRP-friendly offshoot; Paraspartans (though similar in Role to SPARTAN-IVs but are only meant for alien participants of the OWRP program hence called "Paraspartans"), Sangheili (but are rarely joined in by the San 'Shyuum Prelates), Promethean/Promentinel Knights working together and hugging each other for the sake of their pride of victory. Baru Guun likes to get attention on screen as long as there are nothing bad happening to him.

Baru Guun is bilingual, capable of speaking English and his mother tongue; "Eastern Sangheili", a language from the Sangheilic language family. As a SPARTAN-V, he not only gets augmented to meet the adequate strength to wear MJOLNIR[GEN3.5] armor but to also receive a special device that allows them to armor themselves with nano-slipspace rupture that forms the armor on their techsuits much like with the Didact's armor.

Personality:

Baru Guun is a laidback, tough, brave and noble person. Baru was tied to his duties as part of the United Nations Space Command and has little to no time for anything outside of it, and expected the same of his subordinates or in some cases demanded it. True to his years, he contains a lot of wisdom. During the human-covenant war, the inhabitants in his birthworld rejected membership of the Kig-yar Piracy as henchmen and deacons, they stated they’d rather die with their planet glassed than to join them. After growing up, Baru sought to directly join the Master Chief and his forces, thus Baru Guun became leader of the Spartans.

He serves as a father figure to the members of Fireteam Gambeson, Peter Locke-Fireteam Gambeson Member-001, Njord Stacker-Fireteam Gambeson Member-002, Jet Sanders-Fireteam Gambeson Member-003, Michelle Cans-Fireteam Gambeson Member-004,  Tina Savage-Fireteam Gambeson Member-005, and Patrick Shao-Fireteam Gambeson Member-006.

Equipment:

Commander Baru-FT-Gam.-LM-100 typically favors a katana on his back, the replica of the Winchester Model 1894 Lever-Action Rifle used by the cowboys in the 19th century, this 26th century replica is designed to fire the rounds more effective against Sangheili combatants or larger extraterrestrial beasts that present a bigger target. He also carries a brand of magnum-caliber semi-automatic pistol rivaling the M6 series, the Bar-53 Magnum-Cal. Semi-Auto Pistol, both of which are allegedly descendants to the 21st Century’s IMI Desert Eagle. He also likes to use the Flagnum in War Games Simulations.

Baru also has a prototypical but heavily customized SPARTAN-V Panoplomorphic Transceiver hence you call out “UNSC Emergency!”, that transforms him into average SPARTAN armor (SPEPHERD-Class Mjolnir) that features a canine-shaped helmet to fit his own head but relinquished it in favor of a hollowed out head of a Dobergator, the Number 100 designating him and a dark red flower-patterned techsuit. He also uses a pack of Attack Dogs like weaker and smaller but fairly reliable counters of the Unggoy or Crawlers. He can live in water and land on flooded surface via technology called "Aquaterrestrial Techsuit". As part of his armor, Baru typically uses the "Prongshot" (two pronged variant of the Grappleshot) to more conveniently deliver useful items and to stun enemies when aimed to the head while closing the distance.
